Its new year eve

Its new year eve

Most of the people prepare to celebrate the new year’s eve with family and friends, going for parties or watching TV or sleep. In some countries the new year is a public holiday and others not.

In Kuwait, an interesting dilemma came about the new year’s holiday, two years ago the Kuwaiti government issued a law of shifting the holidays that fall in the middle of the week to the first day of the week, it’s been followed for all religious and public holidays since then except for the Georgian new year’s holiday as it has been exempted, the Muslim’s are against it they are not following the law and even the Islamic holidays must not be shifted too, as equal.

Microsoft promotes via You Tube

Microsoft started to promote its products and service via YouTube to grasp the market to the maximum by lunching free video demos for Windows Vista and Windows Live products and services.

And I thank Duncan Riley from TechCrunch for posting the article ‘Microsoft Using YouTube To Promote Vista & Live, Leaves Comments Open
I give a five star for Hani Mirza, Managing Director of Bin Mirza International (BMI), who has the franchise for Nando's, Second Cup coffee house and Cinnzeo for his contribution in his work as a team member in Bin Mirza International (BMI).

On first day of Eid I went to have dinner at Peri-Peri chicken restaurant Nando's with my family members, while I was waiting for my seat, I saw Mr Hani Mirza helping his own staff in distributing the meals to the customer’s tables, which I found it an exclusively good impression that he sweats for every penny he earns and he rips off his fruits of success and I consider his wife been a lucky woman to be married to hardworking man who doesn‘t feel wrong to work with his employees hand by hand.

Saud Bahwan Automotive reputation shaken

Saud Bahwan Automotive reputation started to shaken as the customer service staff can not handle it’s clients.

I have seen and experienced with the Seeb Al Mawaleh service bay when it comes with them

  • heavy traffic in phone calls as most of the time it may be engaged or no one will pick it up, as it took me to get in touch with them almost a week.
  • I made an appointment and when I arrived I was told my appointment was after two hours and I had to talk to the supervisor to get it though the same time.
  • Some of the women staff don’t know how to deal with customers at all.
  • Another incident I had seen is when a customer came to drop off his car for 60 minutes express service after he made an appointment via the phone, he was told that he doesn’t have an appointment, he flipped and started to yell at the SBG’s staff for incompetent service, they tried to reason with him, that he may made an appointment with anther service bay in town instead of Seeb Al Mawaleh service bay, and they gave him another appointment the next day for the same time as they are over loaded with customer’s cars (and I have seen it, as anyone wishes not to benefit from the 60 minutes express service, will get their car the next day); the customer started threatening the staff, the supervisor came to cool him them and got a bad attitude at the end the top officials came and took the customer away.

At the same time some of the staff started to comment sarcastically on the customer’s behaviour and that he don’t talk Arabic despite been an Arab.

The shock of my life

While I was surfing the net, I visited Hot Google Trends blog/journal and came across a post dated Thursday, December 27, 2007 and so called ‘Benazir Bhutto, The Assassination video’, I was so shocked when I saw the title, as I realised how much I’m cut of the world as I don’t read or listen to the local nor the world news.

How can we live this way? We have all the technology to make our lives easy that we don’t give our selves the time to do anything.

About Benazir’s death, it’s so sad that her life has ended like that God bless her soul.

Appraisal feedback

The appraisal feedbacks has gone up & down like the stock market, some were focussing on the grading in order to get the highest bonus & others were looking for a promotion or increment in salary.

Some people gone on strick for a day or two by not signing the appraisal because of the feedback & they argued allot. Some managers were two faced in front of thier team.

I decided to play it cool with them, after all playing politics with the shacks is importent, I signed the document & stated my proposals, I saw a shocked face on him but kept my voice as cool as I can, we'll see the final outcome soon.

I just remembed that someone told once, "you are too jr to understand big people's politics", and she's wrong. I learnt yelling, making a big fuss won't leed me to achieve anything in life.

God's mercy

I always remember things happens to me, which tends to go against me always tends to be in my side. I belive it's God's mercy to me because of my deeds as well as my parents & loved one's too.

One day I was angry from someone for not be consider my situation & asks me to do something, on my way to pick up the person, it was drizzling, I prayed to God to cure everyone who I care about, and give me the strength to calm down & it happened.

I was training my co-workers to use a new system that will be used internaly by my department, I managed to get good & usefull feedbacks that I was happy to accept it, some was about to impove my methods and skills of delivering the contents & become better presenter.

The silence before the storm

I sense a storm coming towards me & it is around the corner ready to hit at anytime.

I managed to clearly read the signs, and see the people who are creating the storms acting funny, suddenly caring & acting allot. God help us all.

Scholars ban Qur'an ringtones

The Saudi-based Islamic Jurisprudence Council dismissed the use of Qur'an in ringtones as impermissible.

RIYADH — The Saudi-based Islamic Jurisprudence Council, an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), dismissed on Thursday, November 8, the use of Qur'an in ringtones as impermissible.

"It is forbidden to use verses of the Qur'an as mobile telephone ringtones," the council said in a fatwa cited by Agence France Presse (AFP).

The fatwa was endorsed during the council's 19th session at the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, which was attended by 70 scholars.

They contended that such use impinges on the sacred character of the Muslim holy book.

"Any such use would damage the Qur'an by their abrupt interruption of the psalm verses or by sounding in inappropriate places."

The council is composed of an assorted group of jurists from around the Muslim world.

It is the main Fiqh body of the MWL, a broad based international Islamic non-governmental organization.

Turbulent
The fatwa, however, did not come out smoothly.

The Saudi-owned Al-Hayat daily reported that the controversial issue of Qur'an ringtones was at the heart of "a turbulent debate" during the six-day meeting.

It said the scholars were divided on the use of verses from the Qur'an as mobile ringtones.

During the lively discussion, some scholars denounced Qur'an ringtones as a "frivolity".

They have also hit out at adverts which promote the downloading of Qur'anic verses.

The fatwa did not mention the use of Qur'an as text logos or audio recordings on cell phones.

Ringtones with Quran verses or calls to prayers are popular among Muslims in the Arab and Islamic world.

Many users consider the religious tunes a reminder of their faith.

In recent years many scholars of Islam, especially from Egypt, have denounced the use of Qur'anic verses in mobile telephony.

What should I do to marry a rich guy?

A young and pretty lady posted this on a popular forum:
Title: What should I do to marry a rich guy?

I'm going to be honest of what I'm going to say here. I'm 25 this year. I'm very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above. You might say that I'm greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York. My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you? Among those I've dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden (?), $250k annual income is not enough.

I'm here humbly to ask a few questions:
1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2) Which age group should I target?
3) Why most wives of the riches is only average-looking? I've met a few girls who doesn't have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys
4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

Ms. Pretty

Here's a reply from a Wall Street Financial guy:

Dear Ms. Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I'm not wasting time here. From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you're trying to do is an exchange of "beauty" and "money": Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square. However, there's a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can't be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It's not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worried 10 years later.

By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a "trading position". If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term - same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or "leased". Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps. If you are interested in "leasing" services, do contact me…

She's 1 year

Today my niece has completed her first year of age since her birth date, she's the first & only born child to her parents, she's been named after her late grandmother, she's my sweet heart.

I love my niece's smile & big eyes despite no resemblance to her mom.

I just want to say "I wish you happy birthday"

Cloudy day

Just got off work, out of the office primisise, I felt down, all because of the clouds.

Thier isn't any sign of a shiny day as the clouds has covered most of the sky, I hate the feeling, everyone is happy as Oman is known to have sun & hot most of the time in the year, it's a blessing for them & I understand that, at least we aren't in Europe countries that rains & snows all the year.

Blessing from God that I must thank him for that.

Allot of people started falling sick because of the weather changes as 3 out of 36 people at work got cold & fever.

I got a phone call from my sister about a having a family photo with my siblings & all my female cousins as this is the only time we are all there. My cousin told her after she say her brother's family photo. I told my sister that such idea came in to my mind several times yesterday & today too. My sister & I will to check out the photo studio & the fees, we are planning to take the family photo this Wednesday.

Without a title

Now I've decided to just type my thoughts & not to have a any title for the topic I have, let's see how the whole article will end up. It may not or it won't be organized & the topics won't be inter-linked.

Nawras 3G+
It has been finally launched in Oman & OmanMobile is still behind Nawras in service & technology.

45% increase in Government's salary
A chain of forwaded SMS been send in most of the Oman's cell phones about the Royal Decree of increasing 45% of the salary in the government sector which was after all a prank message, will the ROP able to track down the source?

Late night calls
I have a concept of not calling people after 9pm as it's the time people either go to sleep, watch TV or have quality time with thier family. Despite been oddly awake after 9:30 pm, I picked up the phone call at 11pm, its wasn't an importent phone call & the caller should have waited until the following morning to give me the message. I thought it was an importent phone call life & death kind of call.

Eid has been fruitfull

This Eid has been a very fruitfull for me & my siblings as well with my cousins, as for the past four days we have been meeting either for lunch or dinner.

It had a different flavour as we bonded more with my female cousins despite difference in age, came to know how we can handle each's jokes & discussed several serious issues that made us see how others think of. Everyone was her self, in a safe level of confidence & some how everyone managed to respect each other & no influences or over power others been seen.

I'm glad that my mission is been truely acomplished in the right track without offencing anyone or a fight & I'm glad that everyone are enjoying the victory.

My vision is finally sharping

I finally I mostley feel content in my life, my career is finaly picking up & sharping to what I want but in return everyday I face new challenges that test my knowledge & patience in deferent levels.

In my personal level, ahem ahem, none, I had many crush on several men, one I though of him that he was hardworking & ambitious person, he got married & I found out his true color, and I thank God that it was from one side, because we don't match at all.

I've seen a man, I said to my self, "God, I want a man like him, who values his family." ameen. Now, I finaly know what I want in life, not to expect allot, and I must not given in for the first one.

No more pizza

Every week since 19th of November I've been eating pizza. Its all started when I treated my workmates for pizza because I purchased a car and it never stopped. This week, we been treated twice by two different people, all of us are sick of it.

Domino's pizza is now open in Oman, but I won't come near it until I get the pizza over my system.

Sorry I'm a bit Moody

It's my time of the month, I'm uncontrollably moody, my last post reflects it, can't decide on what I want to do, to listen, to love, to hate.

All what I can say that I feel too messy & drained.

To men, I belive its a form of caving.

Work smarter not harder!!

Some people follow illogic motto in their lives, and they belive that it will help them go up the ladder very fast.

Ameen* does follow the above motto & he brags about it, he even once said "Been negative is my middle name".

He's main problem that he is not willing to learn, he pokes his nose in other people's business lazy, picks fight, enjoys irritating people & above all unti-social trys to show off him self that he is has the money & Mr Know It All.

I know that I am been up my sleeves but I can't help what I feel about him, I tried to not put in mind what others said about him but he crossed his line with everyone, including his boss.

*Name change to protect the true identity.

Does money buy class?!

This is the question that always pops up in my mind when I see a person who brags that he is from a high class but their behaviour in dealing with people or purchasing an item reflects the opposite.

They think that money can buy class by having a mansion or having an expensive item or a designer bag etc.

I personally know someone who built his own house, has a good post in his job thanks to his father who had a good relationship his ex-boss & every year he used to get a promotion because of that, now he acts as if he's above all, and brags about it, while he's nothing but a *&!@ @&**. Sorry I'm trying my best to mind my own language.

My advise, be your self, as money will never buy class.

Going through other people's staff

She walked inside the room while Sara's away, started checking her staff without knowing that Sara will know, she tries to act smart but she is not.

Trying to dig up her darkest secret to use it against her to kick her out of the house, but Sara is smarter then Maha she knew how she think so she was ahead of her. She made sure she doesn't leave any trail the she gets pinned to the ground & gets humiliated.

with God's protection Sara survived the snakes bite & devil's wickedness.

Illogic behaviour

It may sound illogic when you offer to help some people without expecting any return & you get illogic response of rejection because their own people who suppose to automatically help them because its part of their responsibility, they won't do it because they are self centered & its all about them selves.

The major problem is that they know but they sacred to say anything as they think they are in need of them & they are ready to blame others in order to cover up their trail, even if their are 100% wrong.

Its appraisal time

About a month ago, I started receiving loads of junk emails related to salary increments, promotions, appraisals, etc, in addition to the braking news about the salary raise in some of the AGCC up to 300% of the basic salary to keep up with increase in the commodities price & rent.

People started to get stressed for loosing thier own seats. Best wishes everyone. The panic started to go through under their skin, nightmares started to hunt them of any miss behaviours or mistakes they made, revising each assignment they made to reassure their self as their confidence is not shacky. Others prepar a speech to ensure their seat in the new hierarchy level.

I can't deny it

I can't deny the feeling I have towards you, the grudge that is eating me up. I'm trying to get over it, fighting the worst bettele inside my soul, hunting my dreams every night.

I must put an end of this ridicules & endless series of miseries, which prolonging my departure to the next series of event in my life.

What I truely want to say is, "Farewell my love."

Beware of Garbage Trucks

By David J. Pollay

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive colleague ruin your day? Unless you're a robot, you are bound to blow your top off. However, the mark of a sucessful person is how quickly he or she can get back his or her focus on what's important.

Sixteen years ago, I learned this lesson. I learn it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here's what happen.

I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches!

The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now called, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of fustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. If they happen to dump it on you, don't take it personally.

You just smile, wave, wish them well, and moved on. You'll be happier if you did that rather than fight them.

So this was it: 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.

I started thinking, how often do I let garbage trucks run right over me? And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the street? It was that day I said, 'I'm not going to do it anymore.' I see garbage trucks everywhere and everyday. I see the load they're carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And like my taxi driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.

Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting. Good parents know they have to welcome their kids home from school with hugs and kisses. Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully present and at their best for the people they care about.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?

Here's my bet. You'll be happier.

So...love the people who treat you right.

Forget about the ones who don't.

Believe that every thing happens for a reason.

If you get a chance, TAKE IT!

If it changes your life, LET IT!

Nobody said it would be easy...

They just promised it would be WORTH IT

'Life is short. Enjoy the journey.'

The unbreakable connection

God’s miracle of sending an angle to live with us as a sibling, not knowing that an invisible and magical t connection is been created between both of you’ll, a connection you may be like a stainless steel that difficult to brake. it’s a soul connection of brotherhood or sisterhood.

God tests your connection in different way, Satan sends his followers in order to attempt to corrupt and destroy the pure connection but they don’t succeed, as Allah and the only one God stands with those who believes in him and don’t get weak and fall within the devil‘s hands.

All I can say is Alhamdulillah.

Violence Against Domestic Servants

I'm shocked when I hear about domestic violence against servants at home by their sponsors for illogic reasons.

The hight rate of violence on servants has dynamicaly increased, verbal as well physical abuse has high rate inner effect in pearson's mind & soul. The sponsors who do such crime as feel inferior & they take out on their servants as they think they are weak, low cast and in need of them. They do that to feel superior.

The sponsors think no one will know, but they don't know the awareness & knowledge the servants have through the embassy & the network of social community about the their rights.

What's more worst that those who commit such behavior give a reson for thier servants to spell their sponsor's dirty laundry to the neighbours & boom the social status & respect goes down the drain.

Finally to all the servant sponsors, if you think you are above everyone, above law, you are wrong, God is the only one above everyone. Go back to your holy book what ever your religion & it clearly states how to treat other mankind even animals. If you think you can gain the respect through violence, you are wrong, people will despise you. Learn from the prophet Mohammed (S.A.A.W.) how he treated his enemy when they visit his house, etc, learn from the illitrete the ethics that made him the most influenceal & respected man in the whole world upto this date & time .

The deadly phone call

The phone is ringing, she picks up the phone & looks at the caller's name displays on the phone's screen, her heart started pounding with happiness that her Prince Charm is on the other side of the phone waiting for her response.

At that moment flashing memories of the first time she saw him, listening the gossips of so many women admiring him for his IQ, qualifications & charms that sweeps women's minds.

Her first impression that he has a geeky look, after months of knowing him, she realised that she fall in love with him. She started to arrange parties & outdoor trips just for him to attend it, she started telling her friends & relatives about him, as a result she was getting logic & irrational advices until she did the deadly mistake that ruined the friendly relationship to an odd one, she told him that she wants to marry him. His response was strait forward & clear & his answer was "No". He considered her as a friend not more then that. She called up everyone & told them what happened, who really cared about her told her that her approach was 100% wrong.

She didn't give, as it is the first time a man say no to her. Phone calls as well as organizing parties & outdoor trips never ended as long as he attends it.

Coming back to the reality, she answers the phone and started talking to him, then he broke up the news "I'm getting married" "I'm telling you because you are my friend."

Her reaction that she was desperate and he got married.

That's the deadly phone call.

Sibling TV series

My favorite TV series Hope & Faith and Frasier, the reason I love it because it shows how siblings behave in different levels of their lives. How they compete against each other and support each other.

Ops!!

On Monday evening I was looking for my debit card to draw some cash, I found out that I lost it, so after my sister started to nag me for five minite, I contacted by bank's customer service to report it and to block the card. The customer service woman couldn't access my account as I'm an employee of the same bank so she had to contact someone else to get the card number, after five to ten minites the card was blocked.

The next day I went to the office and openned my account to get the card number and report for a replacement, I found out that my debit card haven't been blocked, else my credit card was blocked and reported lost. I had a bad day that day about it and I had to contact the HR to block and replace my lost card.

Sorry to say I have a problem with local women when it comes to customer service.

Today I went to pay my condolences to my co-worker for the death of her brother who passed away yesterday afternoon in a car accident. Her surname is the same as my grandmother's surname but she comes from another community. When I arrived there, I've seen several women who are my blood relative & some by inter-marriege, some how my other team members knew them.

My point is never say that someone you think you don't know you or your family & its ok to behave as you like in front of them & nothing will reach to your family then you are wong, that person or someone he knows can be linked to someone in your family, as we are at any point we are socially inter-connected.

The Family Mentor

At my previous post I talked about my new project of creating a family journal & I'm in the process of getting the approval.

Today, I finally got it after sharing my idea to my aunt. She fully supporting me with the project & oversees the outcomes that will be a big advantage for everyone.

After finaly reached to an agreement, she mansioned something about me, that she has seen a big change in my personalily, that I became more confident in what I do & taking more responsibilites. On my side I feel I am more matured mentaly that I'm ready to take risks.

Another good news I have recieved that my teenaged cousins for the first time in there lives have enjoyed the family because we the elders made them feel that they are mature enough to let them sit with us & participate in different topics and now they are excited for the next monthly family gatherings.

I am happy with the outcome & that what I was expecting. My advice is always keep your family first, as you can't replace them.

I wish you!

Today 23 November 2007, I'm celebrating my 29th birthday. I actually celebrated it few hours ago and it was good.

Mentor

Mentor

I have past through a lot of barriers past my path that made me fail several times along the way, but thank god I always find the way to get back on track after taking alternative decisions and came up with solutions that helped me pass through my difficulties.

I thank first God for giving me the faith and power to get over it and pick up what left in me to pursue my career; I thank my parents and members of my family as well as my lectures who have guided me and believed in me; and the most people I thank are those who have criticized me since my childhood up to now.

A person who I thought and looked up to her as my mentor tried to bring me down several times by destroying my motivation, 1st by saying that my major in IT won't be useful in my career wise, 2nd that the family doesn't expect me to pass as they know and used to it that I am after all a failure and they are actually are hypocrites in front of me. I carried allot when she said about the family but God's mercy, I forgot about it and I didn't keep any grudge against them, After two years I recalled the incident and that the family really supported me that they were paying for my education, I realised that what she was saying was all a lie because she envied me and did not want me to be successful person and add value in the society and she wanted me to look like an idiot that I don't have a goal or a purpose in life, and I thank God she didn't succeed.

recently I had spoken to several people and unfortunately found out that the same woman tried to destroy others people's lives too in different levels, some of them got effected badly as the incident has happened when they were in their teens and some managed to get over it by other people helping them and guiding them at the right path. Allot of them are trying to help each other to get over it and the red alert is on and destruction recovery plan is been implemented.

I like to share my knowledge and experience with people on one hand in order to increase their knowledge and productivity and in their other hand to minimize their mistakes. I have seen the limitation of guidance I have been exposed and I do not want anyone to mess up their lives and career.

I love doing researches via the internet, my sister calls me 'Wikiphedia Geek' as I refer to it most of the time for a quick answers, I call it the sandwich encyclopaedia as a fast resource for me, I do not 100% depend on it when I do my assignments/projects, I go through other websites too, when I use it I go through the references too.

When it came a debate if Wikiphedia is really reliable source as anyone can add and edit it as long as they can support with references and some school teachers as well as universities and colleges assign their students to add and edit papers in Wikiphedia, an idea came into my mind that what if I use the same concept with my family members who are in their primary and elementary school, they have to write an article based on what they have read or studied that interest them, it has two be written in Arabic and English language, the objectives of this method are:

Strengthen the grammar and vocabulary.

Develop writing skills.

Develop their interests.

Use the internet resources in an assertive manner.

Develop their social and career techniques.

Add value.

Based on above my next project is to a mentor for my younger generations to prepare them to be a future successful entrepreneurs.

My first steps to achieve it

Talk to my aunts about my idea.

    Create an online journal

    Add the candidates

The first articles will be posted by the end of every week starting from summer 2008.

In school days, one article every month.

The journal will be viewed by the parents to see the progress of their children.

Pray for me it works out.

The psychological effect of saying "Allah"

Vander Hoven, a psychologist from Netherlands, announced his new
discovery about the effect of reading the Qur'aan and repeating the
word ALLAH both on patients and on normal persons. The Dutch professor
confirms his discovery with studies and research applied on many
patients over a period of three years. Some of his patients were
non-Muslims, others do not speak Arabic and were trained to pronounce
the word "ALLAH" clearly; the result was great, particularly on those
who suffer from dejection and tension.

Al Watan, a Saudi daily reported that the psychologist was quoted to
say that Muslims who can read Arabic and who read the Quran regularly
could protect themselves from psychological diseases.

The psychologist explained how each letter in the word "ALLAH" affects
healing of psychological diseases. He pointed out in his research that
pronouncing the first letter in the word "ALLAH" which is the letter
(A), released from the respiratory system, controls breathing. He
added that pronouncing the velar consonant (L) in the Arabic way, with
the tongue touching slightly the upper part of the jaw producing a
short pause and then repeating the same pause constantly, relaxes the
aspiration.

Also, pronouncing the last letter which is the letter (H) makes a
contact between the lungs and the heart and in turn this contact
controls the heartbeat. What is exciting in the study is that this
psychologist is a non-Muslim, but interested in Islamic sciences and
searching for the secrets of the Holy Quran.

How's that?

The wife was very unhappy with her car's performance and complained a lot all the time.
Knowing her birthday was coming up shortly, she said to her husband... 'Buy me a surprise for my birthday . Something that accelerates from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds! And I would prefer a blue one!'

Happy and excited she was counting the days to her birthday.

And on the day she finally got the beautiful present her husband thoughtfully bought....

Seagull becomes crisp shoplifter

A seagull has turned shoplifter by wandering into a shop and helping itself to crisps.

The bird walks into the RS McColl newsagents in Aberdeen when the door is open and makes off with cheese Doritos.

The seagull, nicknamed Sam, has now become so popular that locals have started paying for his crisps.

Shop assistant Sriaram Nagarajan said: "Everyone is amazed by the seagull. For some reason he only takes that one particular kind of crisps."

The bird first swooped in Aberdeen's Castlegate earlier this month and made off with the 55p crisps, and is now a regular.

Once outside, the crisps are ripped open and the seagull is joined by other birds.

'Fine art'

Mr Nagarajan said: "He's got it down to a fine art. He waits until there are no customers around and I'm standing behind the till, then he raids the place.

"At first I didn't believe a seagull was capable of stealing crisps. But I saw it with my own eyes and I was surprised. He's very good at it.

"He's becoming a bit of a celebrity. Seagulls are usually not that popular but Sam is a star because he's so funny."

A spokesman for RSPB Scotland said: "I've never heard of anything like this before.

"Perhaps it tried some crisps in a shiny packet in the street, and was just opportunistic one day at the shop when it saw what was inside.

"As everyone knows, gulls can be very quick and fearless, and clearly this one is no exception."

He added: "We'd discourage people from feeding gulls though, as gulls in towns generate lots of complaints every year, and the availability of food is the only reason they live in urban settings."

Don't die before you cancel your credit cards!!

Be sure & cancel credit cards before you die. This is so priceless, & so easy to see happening, Customer Service being what it is today.

A lady died this past January, & Citibank billed her for February & March for their annual service charges on her credit card, & added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had been $0.00, now somewhere around $60.00. A family member placed a call
to Citibank.

Here's the exchange:

Family Member: "I am calling to tell you she died in January."

Citibank: "The account was never closed & the Late Fees and Charges still apply!!

Family Member: "Maybe, you should turn it over to collections."

Citibank: "Since it is 2 months past due, it already has been."

Family Member: So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?"

Citibank: "Either report her account to frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!"

Family Member: "Do you think God will be mad at her?"
(I really liked this part!!!!)

Citibank: "Excuse Me?"

Family Member: "Did you just get what I was telling you - the part about her being dead?"

Citibank: "Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor." (Duh!)
Supervisor gets on the phone:

Family Member: "I'm calling to tell you, she died in January."

Citibank: "The account was never closed, late fees & charges still apply."
(This must be a phrase taught by the bank!)

Family Member: "You mean you want to collect from her estate?"

Citibank: (Stammer) "Are you her lawyer?"

Family Member: "No, I'm her great nephew."

Citibank: "Could you fax us a certificate of death?"

Family Member: "Sure" (fax number is given)
After they get the fax:

Citibank: "Our system just isn't setup for death. I don't know what more I can do to help."

Family Member: "Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. I don't think she will care."

Citibank: "Well, the late fees & charges do still apply." (What is wrong with these people?!?)

Family Member: "Would you like her new billing address?"

Citibank: "That might help."

Family Member: " Odessa Memorial Cemetery , Highway 129, Plot Number 69."

Citibank: "Sir, that's a cemetery!"

Family Member: "What do you do with dead people on YOUR planet?
(Priceless!!) <<...>>

Starbucks quality standard going down

Every person wants to get the best service from any one or place etc, but the quality, effectiveness and efficiency are the high priority. You won’t come back again if the standard goes down.

Starbucks café at Muscat City Centre got blown down with the quality of their product by trying to handle maximum number of customers, specially on a weekend and Ramadhan season.

Because he is Osama bin Laden offspring

The marriage of Omar bin Laden to the British woman Jane Felix-Browne has been on international tabloids that attracted allot of people interest around the world just because he is the son of the most famous and most wanted Osama bin Laden.

First it was rumoured that she heals form the ruling family of Kuwait, then it was confirmed that she is British, other rumours came along and gone, until their marriage ended with a divorce because she is still married to someone else despite the separation, others say Omar and Jane feared to loose everything even their lives.

The Bin Laden members are under microscope because of Osama bin Laden and his organization ‘AlQaaeda’, which made most of their lives hell when they travel to East countries.

Spend 100 and donate 2.5

You may be obsessed in buying shoes that you may have over 20 pairs, or cloths, or gadgets, etc, then you feel guilty that you spend so much money that may be useful for other necessary staff, I give you a solution to ease your guilt, for every 100 dollars or what ever your currency, donate 2.5 or 2.5% of the total amount you spent to charity, that will help you to be more aware of your financial and how to control it.

Charity begins at home

The first thought of some people may seem religions by praying five time a day, do charity work and recite the holy book on a regular bases, but within their own family, they ill treat them badly or not take care of them, they forgot that the charity begins at home.

I personally feel they misinterpreted God’s message to boost them selves in front of people that they are devoted to God but for a simple miss treatment or Discriminate people can wipe out all your good deeds.

Inspired by my post ‘Family’.

You have to feel the bitterness of failure in order to enjoy the sweetness of success

Random thoughts over the years of silence
was my previous motto that reflected how I felt, confused, struggling to unlock my thoughts out of my mind and to organize it.

Yesterday, while I was preparing for my presentation about ‘The successes and failures in my career’, I came up with new motto that reflects my experience:
You have to feel the bitterness of failure in order to enjoy the sweetness of success.

My new motto was clear statement how I felt and it was the drive that made succeed in my life as a whole person. And I thank God for that.

Kids

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialled the employees home

phone number and was greeted with a Child's' whisper. "Hello"
"Is your daddy home?" he asked

"Yes" whispered the small voice

"May I talk with him?"

"No"

Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"Yes"

"May I talk with her?"

Again the small voice whispered, "No"

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss Asked, "Is anybody else there?"

"Yes, whispered the boy, "a policeman"

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy", whispered the child

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to daddy and mommy and the fireman", came the answer.

Growing more worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter, through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What's that noise?"

"A helicopter" answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?!", demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.

Again whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed The helicopter."

Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?!!."

Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle............

"ME".

Stop Being So Nice to Your Co-workers

By Kate Lorenz, CareerBuilder.com Editor

Do nice guys finish last at work, too?

A study published in the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology says yes. Dr. Nikos Bozionelos of the University of Sheffield in England researched personality and career success and found that white-collar workers who were the most agreeable, conscientious and sensitive to the needs of others were less likely to be promoted.

Bozionelos believes it's because they don't put their own needs first: "Agreeable people tend to self-sacrifice and compromise their own interests to make others happy." And because "nice" people do things just to please others, they often are given low-profile tasks no one else wants and wind up doing activities that don't enhance their careers. Because American culture celebrates forcefulness -- even aggression -- researcher and author Gary Namie says the altruistic have it just as rough here in the United States, where, "Nice gets you in trouble. Nice gets you exploited."

Author and executive coach Dr. Lois Frankel says there are a number of ways nice people undermine themselves. Here are five of the most common, along with tips for (pleasantly) breaking the cycle:

1. You Let Others' Mistakes Inconvenience You
Before rearranging your life to correct someone else's mistake, assess the risk versus the reward of meeting unreasonable expectations. At times you'll have no choice but to jump in to put out the fire. But there will also be times when you have the latitude to push back and say, "This isn't what we originally discussed and agreed to. Since I'll have to rethink the plan and put more time into it than anticipated, I won't be able to have it completed by the initially proposed deadline." Let the person know you want to provide the best service possible -- and ask for the time and resources needed.

2. You Let Others Take Credit For Your Ideas
Ever suggest an idea that seemed to fall flat, only to find out later it was implemented and someone else got the credit? To avoid having others steal your ideas, make sure you state them loudly and confidently or put them in writing. If you're at a meeting and someone proposes the same thing you've previously suggested, call attention to it by saying, "Sounds like you're building on my original suggestion, and I would certainly support that."

3. You Apologize Unnecessarily
Save your apologies for big-time bloopers. When you do make a mistake worth apologizing for, apologize only once, then move into problem-solving mode. Objectively assess what went wrong and ways to fix it. Always begin from a place of equality, for example: "Based on the information initially provided to me, I had no idea that was your expectation. Tell me more about what you had in mind and I'll make the necessary revisions."

4. You Work Without Breaks
Use your vacation days; take your lunch. Working non-stop can make you appear flustered, inefficient and incompetent. It also makes you less productive. To maintain maximum levels of concentration and accuracy, experts suggest you take a break every 90 minutes.

5. You Do Others' Work For Them
Recognize when people delegate inappropriately to you and avoid the inclination to solve everyone's problems for them. Practice saying unapologetically, "I'd love to help you out with this, but I'm swamped." Then stop talking. Of course being nice is not all bad. Dr. Bozionelos points out that it can be of great advantage as long as you are aware of and able to adjust your natural tendencies to undervalue yourself and compromise your personal interests. As Dr. Frankel puts it, "When all is said and done, do you really want written on your tombstone: "She Always Put the Needs of the Company Ahead of Her Own?"

To all Employees

To all Employees:
Effective on 8th Aug,2007.

Dress Code

1. It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary.
If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a pay raise.

2. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

3. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a pay raise.

Sick Days

We will no longer accept a doctor's certificate as proof of sickness.

If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

Holiday Days

Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

Compassionate Leave

This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements.
In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch break and subsequently leave one hour early.

Toilet Use

1. Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the cubicles.

2. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the cubicle door will open, and your picture will
be taken.

3. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company notice board under the "Chronic Offenders" category.

4. Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.

Lunch Break

1. Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more so that they can look healthy.

2. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

3. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.

Thank you for your loyalty to our company. Remember we are an employer of choice and we are here to provide a positive employment experience.

Enjoy the coffee, not the cup

TheWeek - COFFEEBREAK - AUGUST 08 2007 ISSUE 231

A group of alumni, who were highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation soon turned into complaints about stress at work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive and some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

After all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal to want only the best, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee.

In most cases, it's just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

"What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and then began eyeing each other's cups. Now consider this:

Life is the coffee. The jobs, houses, cars, things, money, and position in society are the cups.

They are just used to hold and contain life. The type of cup we have does not define nor change the quality of the life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups... enjoy your coffee. Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections. Live in peace and peace will live in you.

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by, "Oh excuse me please" was my reply.

He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you."

We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told, How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal, My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, "While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor, You'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small, And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed; "Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.

"Are these the flowers you picked for me?" He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."

I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway."

I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

FAMILY Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

I forgive you for the all fault statements and misleading that you have said and done to me, I know what you really meant but I thank God for giving me the right time to realise who you really are and your true intention.; if you are insecure for my successes, pleasant personality and purity, you have to deal with it, accept it, you are not the only one in this universe.

Religion conflicts in India

I realised the complicity between the religions in India specially between the Hindus and Muslims because the marriages, its been practiced for so many years that it became normal, specially with in the celebrities.

The reason of taking it for granted that they see them selves that they are Indians at the end of the day and that the religion foundation is not solid in their souls for one or both or that they trying to prove that their aren’t religious conflicts.

This is the comment I've heard from someone who was watching a reality show about Australian Princess that the upper class don't wear white shoes, is it true?

If the upper statement is true, it may be because white shoes get easily dirty, best wishes who ever wearing white shoes, I don't mind wearing for special occ.

Birth and death

To maintain the balance in our universe by reducing the % of poverty and hunger that may lead to war that will cause a huge disaster and blood shedd, for an every new born its followed by a death, its a natural balance of life. We should thank God for that.

Gonu

For the first time in my life I have seen the worst view of Oman which as the most clean country in the medle east, the goverment has worked extra hard within a week to restore the destroyed streets, roads & highways for its citizens to restrore their lives back. Allot of the damages was coursed by the Wadis. We should thank God for his blessing that he reminded us that he existed & he love us that he is washing our sins.

Letter from ??

A man checked into a hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally typed a wrong e-mail address, and without realizing his error, he sent the e-mail.

Meanwhile....Somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned from her husband's funeral.
The widow decided to check her e-mail, expecting condolence messages from relatives and friends.

After reading the first message, she fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife

Subject: I've Reached
Date: 12 May 2007

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here, and we are allowed to send e-mails to loved ones. I've just reached and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing you TOMORROW!

Hospital

Anyone who has ever had a loved one in the hospital will enjoy this:

A woman called a local hospital. "Hello. Could you connect me to the person who gives information about patients. I'd like to find out if a patient is getting better, doing as expected, or getting worse."

The voice on the other end said, "What is the patient's name and room number?"

"Sarah Finkel, room 302."

I'll connect you with the nursing station."

"3rd floor Nursing Station. How can I help You?"

"I'd like to know the condition of Sarah Finkel in room 302."

"Just a moment. Let me look at her records. Mrs. Finkel is doing very well. In fact, she's had two full meals, her blood pressure is fine, to be taken off the heart monitor in a couple of hours and, if she continues this improvement, Dr. Cohen is going to send her home Tuesday at noon."

The woman said, "What a relief! Oh, that's fantastic .. that's wonderful news!"

The nurse said, "From your enthusiasm, I take it you are a close family member or a very close friend!"

"Neither! I'm Sarah Finkel in 302! Nobody here tells me a thing."

How to Win Friends and Influence People

This is Dale Carnegie's summary of his book
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part One

Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
Give honest and sincere appreciation.
Arouse in the other person an eager want.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Two

Six ways to make people like you
Become genuinely interested in other people.
Smile.
Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
Talk in terms of the other person's interests.
Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Three

Win people to your way of thinking
The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it.
Show respect for the other person's opinions. Never say, "You're wrong."
If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.
Begin in a friendly way.
Get the other person saying "yes, yes" immediately.
Let the other person do a great deal of the talking.
Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers.
Try honestly to see things from the other person's point of view.
Be sympathetic with the other person's ideas and desires.
Appeal to the nobler motives.
Dramatize your ideas.
Throw down a challenge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Four

Be a Leader: How to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing Resentment
A leader's job often includes changing your people's attitudes and behavior. Some suggestions to accomplish this:

Begin with praise and honest appreciation.
Call attention to people's mistakes indirectly.
Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.
Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
Let the other person save face.
Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be "hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise."
Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to.
Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct.
Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

Confidence / Trust / Hope

CONFIDENCE

Once, all village people decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all people gathered and only one boy came with an Umbrella, that's Confidence

TRUST

Trust should be like the feeling of a one year old baby when you throw him in the air, he laughs...... because he knows you will catch him; that's Trust

HOPE

Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive in the next morning but still you have plans for the coming day; that's Hope

KEEP CONFIDENCE, TRUST OTHERS & NEVER LOSE HOPE

INSHALLAH ……… WILL GET SUCCESS

To the Women/THIS SAYS IT ALL

THIS SAYS IT

Time passes

Life happens.

Distance separates.

Children grow up.

Jobs come and go.

Love waxes and wanes.

Men don't do what they're supposed to do.

Hearts break.

Parents die.

Colleagues forget favors.

Careers end.

BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did d we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful. I just did. Short and very sweet:

There are more than twenty angels in this world.

Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds. Nine are playing. And one is reading her email at this moment.

My simpathy for Sadaam

His execution wasn't humenary, they brived him the right to complite his to testmony (Shahada) as a right of any Muslim to say it before his/her death, the testemony says:
[I testify that ] there is no god (ilah) but God (Allah), and [ I testify that ] Muhammad is the messenger of God.

but he only said:
[I testify that ] there is no god (ilah) but God (Allah), and [ I testify that ] Muhammad...
