The BOBs Are Back!

The BOBs (The Best of the Blog ) award contest will begain o Sept 2005, so fellow bloggers get ready to post your blogs/journals :)

DW-WORLD.DE, the Deutsche Welle's online portal, is back on the prowl fort he world's best Weblogs.

The Best of the Blog -- a.k.a. TheBOBs -- will crown Weblog champions in 13 different categories: Best Weblog, Best Multimedia Weblog, Best Podcasting Site, Best Journalistic Weblog and a special jury prize from Reporters Without Borders . Honors for Best Journalistic Weblogs will be awarded in each of the nine contest languages.

Weblogs from anywhere in the world can take part as long as they are published in German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese Persian or Arabic.

We're calling on all bloggers, readers and enthusiasts to suggest their favorite Weblogs and podcasts to the contest and later on vote on which ones should take home the User Prizes. Have a look at the Road Map to get all the details about the contest's stages.

Of course there is more than just bragging rights. All the Jury Award winners will take home some attractive prizes. One prize will be raffled off among the voters who register and participate in the contest's voting stage.

Again this year theBOBs will be graced by top-notch jury members and numerous sponsors and media partners. For the first time theBOBs jury members will all be blogging at theBOBs.com throughout the contest.
