Eid has visited Oman today, so its 1st of Sawaal 1430 Hijri, as per the Islamic calender followed by Muslims arround the world. Its a celebration of end of the holy month of Ramadhan, which I hope to live to fast the next year of Ramadhan.
Most Muslims arround the world celebrated Eid on 20 September 2009, so today its 2nd Shawaal 1430, 2nd day of Eid.
Some people will fast 6 days of Shawaal, which is optional for people to fast, its call Sunnah.
