Lamya Al-Mugheiry aka Lamya, the Omani artest (singer) had passed away few hours ago in Oman. My condolences to her family. We pray for her Soul to rest in peace.

So strange. I put Lamya's CD on today -- haven't listened to it in months -- and then just this evening learned of her passing. What a talented singer.
How did she pass away? she was a great singer and i actually wondered what had happened to her.

ReplyDeleteRumour has it that her death was caused by heart/respiratory problems.
Yes, the same thing I was told by my relatives who have attended her funeral.
ReplyDeleteShe moved to Oman as her mother had health problem and she's the only child of her mom.
It turned out I personally know her family, as she's my extended family.
My thoughts are with you. I knew of Lamya through her work with Duran Duran.
