Bio-Genica, Genetic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. is playing against God’s nature by creating Bioengineered buddy known as Genpet. As per Genpets Online Support - FAQ's, the fallowing question and answer raised:
Q. Are Genpets Real animals? How?
A. Genpets are living, breathing mammals. Bio-Genica is a Bioengineering Company that has combined, and modified existing DNA to create the Genpets lineup. Genpets have blood, bones, and muscle; they will bleed if you cut them, and die if mistreated just like any other animal. The electronic components are only in the packages and are for basic life support, outside of the packages the Genpets are wholly organic.
They should have donated for the poor people or invested in agriculture or providing green environment or in finding cure instead of spending millions of dollars for unnecessary pet, that will die between one two three years.

ReplyDeleteThe piece is meant to illicit a reaction, though many times it gets a very scary positive acceptance from teens + resellers. When I designed Genpets, I had no clue how people would react. It disturbed me to see such a positive acceptance of Genpets by people who wanted to buy a genetic pet. There are of course people that get Genpets and what I am getting at, as well as those that “cried upon seeing them”. Overall though, Genpets.com has been swamped with emails from people wanting to buy a pre-packaged pet.
As many have said, this proves the importance and relevance of Genpets as an art piece.
I rather adopt an orphan cat then buy genetically engineered pet, if we accept it, they'll create genetically engineered human or an army.
ReplyDeleteI agree that God have given those engineers a gift of creating such a pet, but they should have produced something more safe & logic, that is beneficial for the humans.
I can't believe there was a statement from the Ministry of Commerce today about how they will not allow Gen-Pets into Oman.
ReplyDeleteGenpets are not real! It's not a real product. It's an art piece as I had shown in the link in my previous comment. There is no such product as Genpets!
As the artist said "it's meant to illicit a reaction". But you're supposed to know it's fake. I can't believe people in Oman think there really is such a product for real.
This genpets are just a fake as nytimes.com published long ago: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/24/business/24online.html?scp=1&sq=bio%20genica&st=cse
