Domistic workers and Ramadhan
"Oh my God, all the shops are closed."
"I was hungry and all the resturents are closed."
"I can't drink when I am out or I will go to jail if the police catches me."
The above qoutes are from the domestic workers, who they experiance their first Ramadhan in Oman, they insisted to go out on Friday, on their off day, despite been worned that all the shops will be closed because of the holy month.
They thuoght everyone was just joking, No eating nor drinking was not easy for them, specially having hot weather.
Now, they counting the days for Ramadhan to end, to get back their freedom of drinking and eating their home food in day time with their fellow friends.

Raise or abuse?
A woman will always want to one day to get married and have her own children, but when her dream is not fullfilled, as the man with the "Mr" title didn't knock on her door and propose, her dream of having her own kids fades it. Other option is to raise other then her own, by taking one of the kids in the family or adopt one.
Some people willing to do it but depending on their true entention, they may raise or abuse the child, I know women who are abused and still abusing the kids, but infront of people they are inocent and the victums of years of raising the ungreatfull child, which they spend alot of money on clothing, education and vications. The child won't know the difference until the damege is done.
A woman is planning to raise a child, she abuses kids and thinks she can gain their inocent forgivness with one hug and next day abuse them again. I feel pitty for the child, as her childhood will be ripped off to be a puppet of selfish woman.
I just want to say, "The Haven can not be bought by money."

Boycotting in Discount
My some of my co-workers have boycotted Pizza Hut for Ghaza as its an Amarican franchise, but they eat from Papa John's Pizza and Domino's Pizza, that's when I got confused, they say Papa John's Pizza is an Italian franchise.
When I arrived home, I googled for all the three Pizza franchises and they are all 100% Amarican corporate . People boycott some and leave others, they don't do their homework.
Another thing, I have heared thet someone watched actress Freida Pinto, who acted in Slumdog Millionaire as Latika, that she isn't Indian, nor has anything to do with it; but it turned out that she is Indian actress and model, born and lived all her life in India.

Lamya passed away
Lamya Al-Mugheiry aka Lamya, the Omani artest (singer) had passed away few hours ago in Oman. My condolences to her family. We pray for her Soul to rest in peace.

Now it sinked in
The day of Eid, I felt my heart has just crashed, it just sinked in, my father has died, I won't go to see him today nor tomorrow or for the rest of my life; I won't wish be able to wish him, to see his face full of suprise and happiness expression of seen me and my sibling came to greet him in the morning.
I walked to my baby sister and told her how I felt, couple of days ago we were arguing about reducing number of houses we have to visit, on that day I disagreed with her, but in Eid morning, I told her I'm fine with it, I managed to reduce over half of the houses, we both couldn't manage to walk-in allot of people, our heart couldn't take it anymore, we were mourning in our on way all this time, trying to be braive.
When we went to have Eid breakfast for the first time in my life since moved in Oman, I greeted my uncle then I ran back to my room, I cried for the first snice my dad's death.
I am just praying for him when ever I remember him. I miss him allot.
I feel my life has changed allot, my principles and concept of life, family, etc. I realised I am not social enough that I don't visit most of my relatives and don't know most of them. I don't want to be unknown or forgoten, I don't want to be a stranger within my people.

The Sickness Disease
On 6th of Aug 2008, I came across an intresting article in Arabic titiled 'مرض التمارض' (The Sickness Disease) by Aqeel Abdulkhaliq Al Lawati (عقيل عبدالخالق اللواتي). It is about how people pretend to be sick.
The writer talks about how thouse people take the advantage of pretending to be sick, how ,they abuse the system, how the doctors profit out of it, how this disease became like a virus that infects our society.
The writer also mentioned that such disease derives from lack of self esteem and skills as well as low performance.
My opinion, its a way to escape from reality.
