The greatest Test
God (Allah) [has been | is] testing and going to test us our faith in him in different levels, as he wants to see how will we react and remember his esistence, his unlimited power, etc.
We all decended of Adam & Hawah (Eve), but he categorised us by nationality, religion, cast, color, political status, tribe, etc, you name it what ever pops in your mind. God had reminded us that we are all equal in front of him, as he is our creator, but by him categorising us he wanted to test us if we still remember who is God? Will we follow him or not?
He sent allot of prophets and messengers with different status and merical powers to pass his message, some were continueing other's work. Prophet Mohammed ASWA was his last messenger to spread God's words and wizdoms to the world.
Our parents first choose our faith, when we grow up, and become wo(man), it becomes our responsibilty to continue on the same faith or we change it.
What I wanted to say that God testing us how will we treat others, he defined the map for us, he
told us via his holy book how to handle others depending on the categories.
That's the true and hardest test from him.

Blogger is blocked by Omantel
For the first time in my life I see the Oman Community Blogger.com are fuming with anger that they are been deprived from their rights of accessing their blogs via Blogger.com. The other blog publishing tools websites are working perfectly.
My fellow bloggers say that there are been blocked from accessing via Omantel ISP to Google child sites beside Blogger.com such as Gmail, they also been suffering from resections from accessing Google it self.
Is Omantel high-tech monitoring application gone crazy and got infected with virus or worms and Trojan horses?

حكاية الموظف سين

الموظف سين يعمل في إحدى الدوائر الحكومية، ويسعى دائما لأن يكون مخلصا ومتفانيا في العمل وهو شاب طموح يحاول أن يقدم نفسه كنموذج متميز في العمل، ولصاحبنا الموظف سين زميل آخر يعمل معه في نفس المكتب .. دعنا نقول انه الموظف عين وهو على النقيض تماما يميل إلى قضاء ساعات العمل في الأحاديث المجانية، والتنقل من مكتب إلى آخر، لتبادل «السوالف عن فلان وعلان» كما أنه أضاف مؤخرا إلى قائمة أحاديثه الكلام عن الأسعار والاسمنت والعيش.
رئيس العمل يعرف جيدا أن الموظف سين ينجز مهماته على أكمل وجه لذا كان يثقل عليه بالالتزامات اليومية، وينأى عن الموظف عين لأنه لا يتقن أداء المهمات الموكلة إليه ... عندما يفرح المسؤول كان فرحه يعم على الجميع، وعندما يستشيط غضبا كان غضبه يقع على الموظف سين الذي يبتلع ريقه على مضض.
ذات يوم سأل الموظف سين مسؤوله: لماذا لا تفعل شيئا إزاء كسل زميلي المتفاقم ؟ فربت المسؤول على كتفه قائلا: دعك منه، صدقني سيبقى في مكانه للأبد، بينما أنت سترتقي وستتطور، وسيصبح لك مستقبل باهر، قفز قلب الموظف سين من مكانه من شدة الفرح، وحلق عاليا بتلك الكلمات الجميلة.
ولكن المفاجأة غير السارة أنه وفي نهاية السنة حصل الموظف سين، والموظف عين على ذات المكافأة ، وبعد عدة سنوات من عمل سين، وكسل عين حصلا معا على ذات الترقية، وكلما جاءت فرصة للسفر للخارج كانت تذهب لصالح الموظف عين، وعندما كانت الأسئلة ترن في رأس سين كانت الإجابة تصله وشيكة من المسؤول: لا تقلق ... إنها محاولة لطرد كسل الموظف عين وخموله..
يذهب عين ولا يعود إلا بالحكايات والصور والهدايا، يأتي فارغا تماما، دون أن ينجز أي شيء لصالح العمل، وجراء ذلك لا يحصل سوى على بضع إنذارات سرعان ما تذهب أدراج الرياح، فالإنذارات لا تخيفه لأنها لا تطال راتبه الشهري، وترقياته.
كلما حاول الموظف سين أن يشذ عن القاعدة العامة وأن يبدو مختلفا ومحبا لعمله ومتفانيا في رغبته بتغيير السائد كلما صدم بالنماذج الأخرى التي تشكل ربما الأغلبية والتي لا يعني لها العمل أكثر من وسيلة للعيش.لفترة ليست بالبعيدة كان الموظف سين النكتة التي يعلكها الجميع، ففي الوقت الذي كانت طموحاته تكبر كان لا يناله أكثر من الدوران في منطقة الصفر، بينما الآخرون كانوا يصعدون السلم الوظيفي بسرعة، بعد عدة سنوات لم يعد باستطاعة أحد منا أن يميز الموظف سين لأنه اختلط مع الآخرين وتشابه معهم، وركل مثاليته وإخلاصه في أول سلة مهملات صادفها.

يسحب الزوج نفساً عميقاً من لي المعسل ثم يدخل يده في جيبه ساحباً الجوال ليهاتف أم العيال: وصلتوا...! أنا سأتأخر قليلاً في استراحة التسدح!... ثم يأتي لمنزله قبالة الفجر..الأولاد من أن يدخلوا المنزل يرمون كل شيء في أيديهم ... حقائبهم المدرسية، أحذيتهم، بقايا فسحتهم... ثم يصيح الصبي ذو العاشرة في وجه الخادمة الآسيوية: 'جيبي لي مويه'، فتركض فزعة لتحضر كوب الماء لهذا الصبي المأفون، وهو لا يريد ماء، قدر ما كان يريد أن يلقي أوامر! أطفالنا ما أطول ألسنتهم أمام أمهاتهم والخادمات ولكنهم أمام الكاميرا يصبحون كالأرانب المذعورة، لا أدري كيف يحدث هذا ..
أحسن شيء سائق وشغالة، من يتحمل مشاوير أم العيال، ومن يتحمل قيادة السيارات في شوارعنا المكتظة بالمخالفات المرورية والطائشين والسائقين النزقين، فليتحمل المسئولية السائق الآسيوي فكلها حفنة ريالات. ومن يتحمل تغسيل الصحون والملابس وشطف البلاط وتسقية الحديقة وكي الملابس... آه ما أثقل دم كي الملابس ... هاهي حفنة ريالات أخرى لخادمة آسيوية تعمل كل هذه الأعمال الشاقة... ولتتفرغ أم العيال لتصليح الحلى والبنات لمتابعة الفضائيات والتجول في الأسواق والأولاد لمضايقة بنات الناس في الأسواق! وهو لا يدري أنها ممكن أن تكون أخته في يوم من الأيام،
الكسل أحلى من العسل.. ماذا جنى الأولاد والبنات من هذا الكسل؟ لا شيء سوى الطفش! دائماً صغارنا وكبارنا طفشانين.. لأنهم لا يعملون شيئاً.. من لا يتعب لا يحس بطعم الراحة ومن لا يجوع لا يحس بطعم الأكل، كل مشاوير بيتزاهت وماكدونالد لم تعد تسعد صغارنا ولم يبق إلا متعة صغيرة في النوم في بيت الخالة والتي لا يسمح بها دائماً ولذلك بقي لها شيء من المتعة!
هذا السيناريو السائد في معظم المنازل السعودية والخليجية، المصيبة لا تحدث الآن ولكنها تحدث بعد عشرين سنة من التبطح تكون نتيجتها بنت غير صالحة للزواج وولد غير صالح لتحمل أعباء الزواج ، لأنه ببساطة غياب تحمل المسؤولية لمدة عشرين عاماً لا يمكن أن يتغير من خلالها الابن بسبب قرار الزواج أو بسبب تغير سياسة المنزل، لأن هذه خصال وقدرات إذا لم تبن مع الزمن فإنه من الصعوبة بمكان استعادتها. الانضباط ممارسة يومية لا يمكن أن تقرر أن تنضبط في عمر متأخرة لكي يحدث الانضباط. وبلا انضباط لا يمكن أن تستقيم حياة .
بيل غيتس أغنى رجل في العالم يملك 49 ألف مليون دولار أي ما يعادل 180 ألف مليون ريال سعودي ويعمل في منزله شخصان فقط! تخيلوا لو كان بيل غيتس خليجياً كم سيعمل في منزله من شغاله؟ 30، 40، ألف، أو أهل اندونيسيا كلهم !
أذكر أيام دراستي في أمريكا أنني سكنت مع عائلة أمريكية ثرية ولم يكونوا يأكلون في ماكدونالد إلا مرة في الشهر وتحت إلحاح شديد من أولادهم، ولم يكن أولادهم يحصلون على مصروف إلا عن طريق العمل في شركة والدهم عن أجر بالساعة. لا أحد 'يبعزق' الدراهم على أولاده كأهل الخليج.
جيل الآباء الحاليين في الخليج عانى من شظف العيش وقسوة التربية فجاء الإغداق المالي والدلال على الجيل الحالي بلا حدود كتعويض عن حرمان سابق. حتى أثرياء عرب الشام ومصر أكثر حذراً في مسألة الصرف على أولادهم .
الآن أجيال كثيرة في الخليج قادمة للزواج لن تستطيع تحمل الأعباء المالي ة لخادمة، حتى وإن كانت خادمة بيت الأهل تقوم بهذا الدور مؤقتاً فإنها لن تستطيع على المدى الطويل.. والابن الفاضل سيتأفف من أول مشوار لزوجته الجديدة ثم تبدأ الشجارات الصغيرة والكبيرة التي تتطور وتصل للمحاكم وتنتهي بالطلاق وهذا مايفسر ارتفاع معدلات الطلاق في المملكة والخليج في السنوات الأخيرة .
نحن في الخليج كمن يلعب مباراة كرة قدم ومهزوم فيها تسعة صفر وفي الدقيقة 49 من الشوط الثاني للمباراة لا يريد أن يتعادل فقط بل يريد أن يفوز! وهذا في حكم المستحيل، هذا ما يحدث بالضبط في الخليج على المستوى الأسري وأحياناً على المستوى الدولي .
الحياة كمباراة كرة القدم إذا أردت أن تكسبها، فلابد أن تعد نفسك لها إعداداً جيداً بالتدريب والممارسة الجيدة والأهم من ذلك أن تلعب بجد من الدقيقة الأولى من المباراة وليس في الدقيقة 49!
في الخليج يعيشون الحياة على طريقة 'تتدبر'! يذهبون إلى السينما مت أخرين ثم يجدون التذاكر نفدت ثم يجادلون بائع التذاكر 'دبر لنا ياخي'!!
هذه التذاكر ينطبق عليها ما ينطبق على تربية الأولاد وتحمل المسؤولية والمستقبل وتبعاته، في المجتمع المدني يجب أن تدبر أمورك مبكراً وفي أمور الحياة يجب أن تبذل عمرك كله، الطفل الذي يرمي حقيبته بجانب أقرب جدار في المنزل سيدفع ثمن هذه اللامبالاة حينما يكبر ومن أصعب الأشياء تغيير الطبائع والسلوك .
' تتدبر' هذه تصلح قديماً في زمن الغوص وزمن الصحراء والحياة في انتظار المطر، ولكنها لا تصلح للحياة المدنية التي تحتاج إلى انضباط ومنهج وتخطيط وتدبير منا نحن في كل شؤون حياتنا منذ الدقيقة الأولى من المباراة !
الآن من نلوم على هذه اللامبالاة، هل نلوم النفط؟ أم الآباء أم الأمهات، أم الأولاد أم البنات؟ أم تتدبر !!

Two day weekend for Omani banks (rumours)
Rumours about Omani banks having Two day weekend plus shifting to Friday-Saturday weekend becoming spicy, as it has been circulating in several banks, but nothing is officially confirmed yet. It is been said it will start from July 2008.
It may be a good news for allot of people, and if it is implemented, I believe the government will shift to Friday-Saturday weekend by beginning of the schools 2008-2009.
If the banks shift to Friday-Saturday weekend and the government doesn’t, it will create conflict of interest.

Homosexuality
As for as I know most of the religions and cultures condemns homosexuality and consider it as one of the biggest sins as in it effect the person’s health who practice homosexuality and society as it can spread vary fast; some of the religion which stated to outcast the homosexuals from the society.
I met a man who is open about his homosexuality, I saw his face looked dark and he was hitting on every men, that made them feel uncomfortable until he left the party, the worst he left with anther man.
His friend is a woman who close to him, consider it normal, but I believe if she accepts him, that means she accepts homosexual women too.

Violence Against Domestic Servants
I'm shocked when I hear about domestic violence against servants at home by their sponsors for illogic reasons.
The hight rate of violence on servants has dynamicaly increased, verbal as well physical abuse has high rate inner effect in pearson's mind & soul. The sponsors who do such crime as feel inferior & they take out on their servants as they think they are weak, low cast and in need of them. They do that to feel superior.
The sponsors think no one will know, but they don't know the awareness & knowledge the servants have through the embassy & the network of social community about the their rights.
What's more worst that those who commit such behavior give a reson for thier servants to spell their sponsor's dirty laundry to the neighbours & boom the social status & respect goes down the drain.
Finally to all the servant sponsors, if you think you are above everyone, above law, you are wrong, God is the only one above everyone. Go back to your holy book what ever your religion & it clearly states how to treat other mankind even animals. If you think you can gain the respect through violence, you are wrong, people will despise you. Learn from the prophet Mohammed (S.A.A.W.) how he treated his enemy when they visit his house, etc, learn from the illitrete the ethics that made him the most influenceal & respected man in the whole world upto this date & time .

Socially interconneted
Today I went to pay my condolences to my co-worker for the death of her brother who passed away yesterday afternoon in a car accident. Her surname is the same as my grandmother's surname but she comes from another community. When I arrived there, I've seen several women who are my blood relative & some by inter-marriege, some how my other team members knew them.
My point is never say that someone you think you don't know you or your family & its ok to behave as you like in front of them & nothing will reach to your family then you are wong, that person or someone he knows can be linked to someone in your family, as we are at any point we are socially inter-connected.

Charity begins at home
The first thought of some people may seem religions by praying five time a day, do charity work and recite the holy book on a regular bases, but within their own family, they ill treat them badly or not take care of them, they forgot that the charity begins at home.
I personally feel they misinterpreted God’s message to boost them selves in front of people that they are devoted to God but for a simple miss treatment or Discriminate people can wipe out all your good deeds.

Freej is the first Arabic 3D animated mini series in the Middle East, that swooped the viewers around the world who watched it via Dubai TV and Sama Dubai. It is the brainchild of Mohammed Saeed Harib. The first season was aired in Ramadhan year 2006 and the 2nd season was aired in 13th September 2007.

BankMuscat Hearts team was birth by BanMuscat’s group of staff voluntarily from their hearts for the purpose for social initiatives and to support charitable causes. They spontaneous initiative had bought BankMuscat to be welcomed and embraced by the its own society, it gave Bank Muscat a whole new image and prospective.
For BankMuscat’s staff initiative for creating BankMuscat Hearts culture within its own oerganization, that shows how its own strong investment is payback to the society.

A time to give …BankMuscat Hearts’ Blood drive
Muscat, 10 February 2007: The BankMuscat Hearts team has conducted a blood collection drive event along with the blood bank in Sohar. The event took place in the Sohar main branch premises, where all the BankMuscat staff from Batina region gathered to donate blood. This is part of the Bank’s continuous investment in social and charitable activities under the BankMuscat Heart’s banner.
The BankMuscat Hearts movement started in the second half of 2006. There are currently twenty young employees from across different departments and branches of the Bank who have come together to successfully form the BankMuscat Hearts team. The objective of BankMuscat Hearts is to find ways to give to society --poor families, the needy, the unwell -- and even the environment. BankMuscat Hearts plans to continue to conduct charity and social activities throughout the year.
BankMuscat Hearts and Guno Cyclone
The BankMuscat Hearts Team, that works on social initiatives and supports charitable causes nationwide has also been very active in the cyclone victims rehabilitation process over the past one and half weeks. BankMuscat Hearts has launched an ongoing collection drive within the Bank, wherein essential commodities, clothing and food-stuff are collected from across the Bank’s branches and head office buildings and then distributed to cyclone victims. The Hearts team was also recently involved in a beach cleaning exercise at Al Ghubra and was also involved in the efforts to reach water to people immediately after the cyclone
