because of the H1N1 virus been spreading fast in Oman for over 1000+ been effected and 13+ death, the govt decided to cancel Muscat Festival for the year 2010.
Now Oman will be dead after taking the happiness from it and the turisum will decline too.
What to say, better be safe then sorry.

Swine flu
I thank God (Allah) for prohibiting eating pork meat or any pig's body parts because it courses diseases that is easy to transmit to human.
I know the Swine flu can not transmit to human by eating the meat, but look at this way, if God did not prohibit Muslims to eat pork meat, by now the Islamic countries would have raised pigs and Swine flu would have spread fast like in America and Europe continents. As the result, two third or 75% of the world population would have wiped out.
That's why Islam, Judaism and other non-Abrahamic religions had prohibited pork. That's God's wisdom and test for his creatures.

Enlightening Story On Recession
Thanks to my dear friend Sunil for sharing this post with me and others too. I hope you will also learn from it and share it with people you care about.
A man once upon a time was selling Hotdogs by the roadside.
He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers.
He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio.
His eyes were weak, so he never watched television.
But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs.
He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to increase his sales.
His sales and profit went up.
He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to sale more.
He recruited few more supporting staff to serve more customers.
He started offering home deliveries.
Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove.
As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from College, joined his father.
Then something strange happened.
The son asked, "Dad, aren't you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?"
The father replied, "No, but tell me about it."
The son said, "The international situation is terrible. The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times."
The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV.
He ought to know and his advice should not be taken lightly.
So the next day onwards, the father cut down the his raw material order and buns, took down the colorful signboard, removed all the special schemes he was offering to the customers and was no longer as enthusiastic.
He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs.
Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his hotdog stand.
And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the profit.
The father said to his son, "Son, you were right". "We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time."
Moral of The Story:
Its all in your MIND! And we actually FUEL this recession much more than we think”.
So it is time for us to open eyes and look around. Recession is there in mind for many but not in pockets really.

Beware of the next fire drill!!!
As per past fire-drill practices, the entire office was quickly evacuated within 3 minutes, and all employees gathered outside the complex in designated areas waiting for further announcement.
Before long, the fire drill officer in-charge made the following broadcast over their loud-speakers system :
"My dear colleagues : With sincere regret, I have been asked to announce that for many of you, this will be your last evacuation drill with us. Due to the on-going recession and bad business climate, the company is laying off almost 50% of its staff.
So when this announcement finishes, I ask all of you to move back into the building. And if your swipe-card does not work, then it means that you have been laid off, in which case you will not be allowed inside, and all your personal belongings will be couriered to you by tomorrow.
The company is using this innovative, never-before approach as we do not want to choke our email system with lay-off notices and farewell messages going by the thousands, and we also wish to avoid any fighting inside the office and the consequent security issues for all staff. We hope you have had a rewarding career with us. Now please move back in… and good luck ! "
