Farewell

Dear Readers,

I have decided to end my journey of writing in my blog. It started in year 2003, when I moved back to my country after years of been away.

This I shared allot of things, and yesterday I initially decided to temporarily end expressing my feeling, but now I feel i should permanently end it. My posts are generally negative more then positive, and I feel that is not me. I have allot of topics and thoughts to write, but when I start typing, my post is short and I get lost in the middle of the article.

I do have dreams, I need to reassess them. I am on Twitter, my user ID is @Shulab. It's temporarily open for everyone who wants to follow me.

All my previous posts will be deleted in future, after I move them to another private blog.

I will miss this place, but I believe it's the best decision I ever made in year 2011, During last 10 days of Ramadhan.

and finally Eid greetings to everyone.

After Years

Time passed by, waiting for some people to come along to bring happiness and joy to our lives, but they avoided to do so.

Other people came along, brought us happiness and made us feel like it part of them, without an invitation. We still were waiting for the same people to come along, but there is no hope for them to do so sail their ship to the shore.

We decided to accept it, it's not as easy at it seems, but we have a choice to be happy, with loved ones.

I'm proud of you

On Wednesday 13th July 2011, HSBC Oman, the world's local bank posted an article at Oman Observer newspaper, it titled was "HSBC recognizes outstanding quarterly achievers".

Guess what?! My baby sister is one of the achievers, and I'm proud of her.

Looking forward

While I was going through one of virtual albums, which contains photographs of my nieces and nephews (extended family) I realized that by the time my siblings and I get married and have kids (if God bless us) the current group of nieces and nephews age will be older, not fit to play with, and some will tempt to bully others (facts of life) to show they are elder.

This how my younger group of cousins felt all this years and now they feel accepted when we started treating them as adults, despite some are in their late teens and we the older in age (young in spirit) are between mid 20's and approaching mid 30's (I just realized that, ouch).

Looking forward, the age difference won't matter when they are adult, it's the way they approach life and treat each other with respect.

I am a fortune victim

One day, I went to draw money out of my account via ATM machine, I discovered a big difference in my balance (between last two days I checked and current balances). I quickly printed the transaction slip and noticed several transaction made out of POS from a gas/patrol station. I called the bank's call center and managed to block my debit card.

It turned out that the thief swapped my supplementary debit card, which I wasn't aware that I misplaced or lost it until the day I found out, for a while I stopped using POS or electronic payments for months now.

I admit that I felt the pinch, but it was a big lesson to learn from, and this could happen to anyone.

I consider my self as a fortune victim, because if it didn't happen, I wouldn't have understood people's feeling when it happen to them. The amount was nothing for what other had lost.
